Our assignment was to create our own amature web-page using www.weebly.com.

3. What are the benefits of an online portfolio?
The benefits of an online portfolio is that people, businesses, etc. can view your portfolio anywhere around the world by giving them your web-page.

4. What did you like/dislike about Weebly site?
What I like about this site is that it's FREE!!! This site is very simple to follow and easy to use. I find this Weebly site very interesting for teachers and students.

5. Would you continue to use it as a future educator? How?
I would definitely use it as a future educator because it will benefit not just me but other teachers, students, professors, etc. as well. Using this site will educate our students because they can create their own web-page about themselves.

How was the experience of using Slide-slide.net?

• My experience using slideshare.net is very interesting and exciting because I find the site easy to use. I would definitely recommend teachers to use this site.

What were the challenges?

• The challenge about slideshare is just uploading from PowerPoint to the site. Sometimes you have to upload it 2-4 times to be on the website.

What was fun? Not-so fun?

• The fun part about slideshare is you can upload anything that you want your students to observe or carry out. You don’t have to be in class to teach them. Just give your students the address so they can visit the site and see what needs to be done.

If you had the chance to do it over what would you do differently?

• If I had the chance to do this site again, the different things that I will do are to integrate technology in all subject areas.

Any other feedback.

• AWESOME SITE!!!

Elluminate Live Experience

My experience with Elluminate Live were FANTASTIC and OUTSTANDING. I find it very interesting for our class ED 480. What I like about Elluminate Live is you can communicate with your students, teachers, friends, families, etc. anywhere around the world...AWESOME!!! With distance-learning application like Elluminate Live, it will benefit our students because you can schedule a time and date when you want to communicate with your students without them being present in your classroom. On the other hand, what I learned from Bree are the various websites that she mentioned during our Elluminate Live such as: glogster.com, wiggio.com, skype.com, officelive.com, just to name a few. In addition, I would use officelive because it's free and you can also create your own website. Therefore, I would highly recommend teachers to use Elluminate Live to communicate with there students and love ones around the world.

Timeline Activity

My assignment with Jan Reyes was OUTSTANDING! Our topic was about World War II. We both created Lesson Plan, Quiz, and Rubric for our activity. We used the site www.rubistar.com to create our rubric. Also, we created our quiz using the site www.quizstar.com. Both site were easy to use. On the other hand, I and Jan loved the website www.free-timeline.com because it was easy to utilize. I would recommend this sites to be used by classroom teachers to create quizzes, rubrics, etc. I would rate these websites 7 out of 10.

Rock You

Create Your Own

Slide Show using www.rockyou.com

This website www.rockyou.com is a user-friendly. It is easy, but no fast to upload pictures. This site might be useful for students when doing a simple slide show. In addition, this site is useful for teachers. Teachers can use this site to present to students. I think this site will be okay for educators to utilize. I would use this site again for my presentation. The consensus rating I give this site or software between 1-10 is 6. Overall, I enjoyed this site. Zunal Webquest Maker...

What I like about this website: www.zunal.com is you can utilize this site in your classroom. It has the following: Title, Introduction, Task, Process, Evaluation, Quiz, Conclusion, Teacher Page, Reviews, and Author's Page. You can use a projector to present to your class all about this sites. Zunal covers almost all content areas. On the other hand, my presentation on Health/PE "The New Food Pyramid" was totally AWESOME. My grade levels for this subject was Kinder to 2nd Grade. This Pyramid was basically to teach kids how to choose healthy nutrious food. Please visit my presentation site: http://www.zunal.com/webquest.php?w=39634. The challenges that I faced for this site is nothing much but uploading pictures. The internet was a bit slow...I guess. If I had to do it over, the only different thing that I would do is to play with the site more so that it can be easy for me the next time I use it. Moreover, I believe my students will like using Webquest because you can create your own presentations.

www.picnik.com - Show

What I like about the feature show of www.picnik.com is you can upload directly to your show. You can use this your show on Myspace, Facebook, etc,. In addition, you can rearrage your picture show and do auto-fill. You can also customize it by choosing from various photo Transition Types. Set the Background Color to coordinate with your photos. If you’ll be using the Film Strip style, choose a Highlight Color to feature the image being viewed which shows thumbnails of your photos as they go by. Finally, don’t forget to adjust the Speed, in seconds, for a longer, more leisurely Show, or a snappier one.

What I dislike about www.picnik.com is its limited. It's FREE but you can only download 5 pictures at a time. If you want to upload more, then you can upgrade to premium. Furthermore, when you first signed-up in this site, it takes time to load. Also, the features are good but very limited. You have to purchase to get good upgrades.

Flickr...Hooray!!!

What I did today, Feb. 2, 2010 is create an account with "Flickr." In Flickr we uploaded pictures of ourselves and families. Also, on this site we worked on Flickr Badge, which helped me create codes to copy and paste it into my blog site. This codes are all my pictures that I upload into Flickr. On the other hand, the way I would use flickr.com for my class is to use this site to upload pictures of my students doing an activities, working in groups, playing sports, etc,. My students will have the opportunity to view the pictures of the events on this site. Therefore, I found this site very interesting and enjoying. This site will also benefit for my class and students.
